CSLS Arquitectes have the wonderful villa Casa de las Jácenas for lovers in Calle Cabestany, Huesca, Spain created. You can translate the name as “House made of logs”.
The monochromatic version of this penthouse underlines the extravagant structure of the Interior and accentuates the unique geometric equipment by the reading room of the roof.
The House was built in 1965 in the city of Huesca. Its new owner to work as a lawyer and journalist. You have to live the desire in a newly constructed residence and also your professional tasks there.
The CSLS Arquitectes have accepted this challenge and made the best of it. The project was realized on two different levels. The architects have tried to optimally use the footprint and bring more brightness into the House. Nothing was projected above the entablature. All equipment is located below. The furniture are placed under the wooden beacons. They look very simple and elegant, so that they will not distract attention from the intricate geometric ceiling beams.
At home, Casa offers for cosy hours de las Jácenas wonderful comfortable reading room, which is located directly under the roof beams.
The parents room with clothes and bathroom is farthest away from the entrance of the House. They are oriented to the West. Depending on the demand, the second room can be used for other purposes. The bathroom is its unique Manuel-driven mechanism that creates plenty of space and brightness in the room with for spa procedures.
