Today we want to tell residence by the Green Latern, which is positioned in the District San Antonio, Texas, United States. It represents a perfect example of the balance between form and functionality.
An open, contemporary style combined with sustainable design. It has approximately 360 square meters area and represents a single family home.
Green design, which also shows a high sensitivity to the needs of the environment is characteristic of this architectural work. To create this to reduce the electricity bills and the pollution of the environment.
Designer of the House is John Grable Architects with their range of eco-friendly features which contribute to the general appearance and feel of the building.
Contemporary eco-friendly residence in Texas
The newly built structure replaced a rural-style house, which was located here before since 1948. You can see remnants of the old building is still in the single-storey bedroom. It has kept it unchanged and has integrated them into the new facade during the renovation.

An open entrance leads to the beautiful route which was attached through the refreshing swimming pool. This allows the connection to the main living area.
The ground floor includes different areas: kitchen, dining room, family room. Still, it opens to the pool area.
This level is complemented by a waterfall above a cave, green landscape and a hot tub. The private quarters were housed on the upper floor.
Most will however talk about the many small properties. It concerns the photovoltaic panels, the Green ceiling system, the use of rain water and the LED lights. They demonstrate that the sustainability of this House is a core principle of its concept.
Passive solar lighting and cooling concept help the House also, to reduce the electricity bills.
The House is surrounded by ancient oak trees. It has left this untouched throughout the entire construction process. Everything seems here to achieve complete harmony with nature.
