Ice Hotel Sweden – 25th hotel in Jukkasjärvi
Every year the small settlement in Jukkasjärvi Northern Sweden receives over 50,000 visitors on the occasion of a special art object – the ice hotel. Recently was Sweden ice hotel opened for the 25th time and again has its splendor and beauty made the show. Dozens of artists have worked and contributed in the creation of the ice hotel, be it with sculptures, lighting or only typographically. The first and biggest ice hotel in the world has been redesigned after three months of hard work. For the whole were used over 1000 tons of frozen water and over 30 000 m3 snow and ice mixed with air. A lot when you consider the inevitable volatility of this incredibly beautiful creation.

Each room at the hotel is actually a suite of kind of. Masterfully and imaginative of ice carved and decorated. Many different styles can be seen here. From the minimalist about the folk Loren to the Baroque style. The suite borderland to German frontier for example has many ice carvings at the contact, and on the ceiling. The double bed is made of Crystal ice and reminiscent of wrought iron bed but made of glass. The art suite ‘Hot type in a cold setting’ is rather minimalist typographic elements. The ice bar is spacious with a counter made of transparent ice, geometrically carved. In the spring rooms to German spring, you can enjoy the delicate flowers and branches on the walls and pillars, and a bit frühlingshafter to strike up.
