Vo trong Nghia was selected to design the Pavilion of Viet Nam at World Expo 2015 in Milan. As an example, it has been the national plant of Vietnam. It’s about the Lotus.
The project includes a narrow pool of Lotus Lake. Still, you can see a series of bamboo structures, which are covered by trees.
Sustainable building materials – the Vietnamese Pavilion made of bamboo
Inspired by local plants, the Pavilion has a global message. First is the preference for the flawless beauty. The Lotus comes from the water, but is evident on the surface. Thus, she proves that you can convert problems into advantage.
Lotus is also for the Vietnamese kitchen essential. This to make all parts of the plant used.
Sustainable architecture is in vogue
The exhibition has two floors and is located in the center of the Pavilion. It is surrounded from all sides by water and wraps 25 bus trees of different sizes. The swimming pool to the Pavilion around was this thought to cool the air. There, the stepping stones have been executed also in the form of Lotus.
After the end of the exhibition, they will disassemble this design and reuse for other projects.
