Alison Brooks Architects have completed the redesign and expansion of this Victorian villa in Islington, London, United Kingdom. The House extends over a total area of 400 square meters. His origami extension consists of 2 irregular rooms that each have a well-defined functionality.: “the first space wraps around the walls on the part and back of the House, to create an Office at home, while the second room retreated to make ersreckt larger around the living room on the first floor”.

Large trapezoidal-shaped areas define the new facility, which offers original perspectives, inside as well as outside. According to the architects, was supposed to reach a low profile, “have dug out the existing basement and made a lower courtyard”. A new basement now connects the work area and the House. On the garden side, the building rests lightly on the ground with the undercuts walnut tree.
