As the British artist Luke Jarram realized how many people sat silently next to each other in public, decided he bang painted pianos in various public places to place. In this way, he wanted to promote spontaneous communication.
Used pianos to admire
There is the project “play me, I’m yours ‘ in Birmingham, UK in 2008 started, where 15 used pianos for three weeks were displayed throughout the city. This design was a success and it has estimated that 140 000 people play these pianos or the others play heard. Now, more than 1000 remarkably decorated wings with the simple instructions were “play me, I’m yours” issued in 37 cities around the world.
Combining nature and city environment
The street pianos, by local artists painted and decorated, were on different squares, in larger parks, at bus stops, railway stations and bridges. Different communities could participate in this project and it work. If you could help make a piano available, add it to this list!
