Wonnemonat May will be back soon! Everything blooms and thrives. Be the first. Now is finally time for the coffee in the open, for the favorite elephant in the park or the romantic evening on the balcony… Apropos balcony, that is exactly what we are doing today. How can you turn your own balcony into a beautiful oasis of peace that you can enjoy every day and every evening? Here, of course, different factors play an important role – the size of the balcony, the orientation, the time, which one can invest in the plant care, etc. We would however only here to the Balcony plants Themselves. What are the right plants for your balcony? And only on the basis of the light conditions that prevail.
Of course the list of flowers, plants and herbs is very long and extensive, that is why we only list our favorite plants. In general, we have chosen three groups – plants for the sunny, the half-shaded and the shaded balcony.
The suitable plants for the sunny balcony:
Bald drill flower (” Bougainvillea glabra )”
Millions Bells (Calibrachoa)
Lunch gold (Gazania)
oleander (Nerium oleander)
Portulakröschen (Portulaca grandiflora)
We recommend for the sunny balcony also strawberries and tomatoes, fat hen and geranium as well as herbs like lavender , Sage, rosemary and thyme. Of course, you should pay attention to sufficient irrigation in all these plants and pour exclusively in the morning or in the evening.
The suitable plants for the semi-shady balcony:
Iron Wreath (Verbena Cultivars)
Nasturtium (Tropaeolum majus)
Mighty (Inter alia Lobelia erinus)
Jewelry lily (Agapanthus)
In addition, you can also grow other suitable plants here, such as ivy, beech tree and Hydrangeas . They love it more quiet and shady and are therefore not recommended for sunny balconies. Basically, the balcony plants for the half-shaded areas are easy to clean and often even winter-hard.
The suitable plants for the shady balcony:
Edellieschen (Impatiens New Guinea)
crying heart (Lamprocapnos spectabilis)
Elf spur (Diascia)
Fire (Salvia splendens)
All of these balcony plants are of course also suitable for your garden and are relatively easy to maintain.
In plants, however, as with all other creatures, the rule of thumb applies: show love and affection! Take care of your flowers, plants and herbs and they will thank you.
In this sense, have fun and stay relaxed!
