Bathroom faucets by the renowned company “American Standard”
The American Badarnaturen manufacturer “American standard” prints faucets… That sounds kinda funny, but in fact it is perfectly possible to produce kitchen and bathroom faucets on the basis of a 3D-Druck-Technologie. What is otherwise hard to create, is easily doable by a 3D printer.
The technology is hardly new. The manner on which this is used is new but. Selective laser sintering (SLS) is this 3D-Druck-Verfahren and it was invented in the mid of 80’s of the 20th century by Dr. Carl Deckard. 3D printing is a well-known method for production of samples in the industry. The new and spectacular here is that subsequent faucet models were made of metal of the company “American standard” right for the market.

Of course, this new bathroom faucets have a correspondingly high price. The estimated sale price will be somewhere between 12,000-20,000 US dollars.
Works of art in metal
Particularly impressive is the faucet shown below. Its design is intended to mimic the natural movement of water in nature. 19 individual holes carry the water through the metal and thus is achieved a natural look – like a waterfall in the great outdoors.
