Designer installation from tyre in New Zealand
After the strong earthquake in New Zealand in 2011 to the subsequent reconstruction of many public areas remained in Christchurch empty and inanimate. In order to alleviate this lack of public spaces, the local designer Carl developed Menary the use of waste products and created a robust, contemporary Foundation. Menary has designed ReTyre, a design from which an old tire into a comfortable seat. The stable clips create pressure in the tyre and thus form a durable foundation, boob you can sit. The tires can serve as benches or used as individual chairs for special events or social gatherings.
