Who is behind the MEJD Design Studio?
Do you want to know who thought the idea of the “jar” lamps? We tell you. The designer duo Štefan Nosko and Katarína Bagle behind the Slovak Studio MEJD, located in the capital city Bratislava. Their goal is to design pieces of furniture with an unusual character. Here take inspiration but of the environment and of all usual everyday objects. The result is fascinating.

Dining room pendant luminaires with an original design
Now to the “jar” designer luminaires. They have a typical shape for the pottery. And they look exactly like water jugs, but of course they have a very different function – they shine. And this is made possible by the cross section at the bottom of the tank. So, the pitcher will be divided into two parts. The larger top part is the Lampshade of the pendant and the much smaller base (the base of the jug) serves as an accessory. This can be used as a practical dish.
