Tips – how to grow your favorite plants garden design and can refine
Today we want to show you how you can grow your favorite plants and refine. The grafting is a good way, flowers, for example, rose, spreading shrubs and trees on larger planes, but to make a subsequent correction in the selection. How do you do it – here are our tips and suggestions!
The implantation is actually a crazy scientific way to increase your plants. Cut a piece of a plant and place this piece on a different plant and bind to both. Cool! Let’s see how. Many of the plants by your local Garden Center can be grafted. For example, many hybrid roses are grafted, so that they wachsten on the root trunks of a harder variety. This helps to prevail in heavy conditions and more to flourish. As well, many fruit trees on smaller root trunks are grafted on. This keeps the trees compact and strong. So, is the Stadardregel here: graft the root of another plant. Someone can try to impart several varieties on the same tree – like a modern Dr. Frankenstein to act! What comes out as a result of: an Apple tree, for example, the two different types of apples has. This is called “Fruit cocktail tree”
Landscaping Tips – the grafting is a good way to spread flowers, shrubs and trees on larger surfaces
The best time for the implantation is you live with what climate conditions late in the winter – from December to February, depending on. Take a young branch, about 10 cm long with one or two buds. Choose plants that are closely related, for example, you can impart to an Apple of some sort on an Apple from other species and a PEAR. Or try almonds, apricots, plums on a cherry tree aufzupforopfen a. Implantation of unrelated plants, for example, a rose and a Dattelpflaumbaum – can never succeed! So rule number 1: only the same or closely related types of fruit can be refined with each other!
Time is the best time for the implantation in winter
The trees should be not too old. As appropriate proves the “plugs behind the bark” by branches that have a diameter of 3 to 6 cm. Stronger knots are possible to be refined, but it seems less useful. The method of “Belzen” is very popular and is practised also by inexperienced gardeners. Further refinement such as budding and Chippe (inserting a noble eye) are made only when very young trees or shrubs (roses, lilac, for example). Copulation is then applied, if document or page branch has the same intensity as the one-year old vine Scion.
the method “Belzen” is very popular and is practised also by inexperienced gardeners
The best time is when loosens the bark of “Belzens”: – in Germany between the end of April and beginning of May. The tree a Crown will be trimmed back pyramidal longer butt, leaving a “train branch” at the bottom, which ensures the assimilation for the refinement to the otherwise bare tree frame. Train branches to be not too strong and not too close at the head of the graft. Depending on the diameter of the graft head slips are inserted 1 to 3.
By the old vine Scion is already tight, you can make now 1 to 2 additional finishes for thicker branches on the same graft head.
Choose plants that are closely related
The next step is connecting – best with bast. The first railways are closely applied to the cut surface of the graft head. After each track, bast is pulled tight. Other railways can be further created. The train eye remains free. The binding material may be not loose or get.
Never forget: “Practice makes perfect!”
Some additional notes:
Touch cutting surface with the fingers.
Perform plug not in the rain (wet acts harmful to the cut surfaces)
Well water in dry younger trees, shrubs.
Remove train branches in the following winter or also to ennoble.
Reasons for the non-success of a stopper can be following: blurred finishing knife, unsuitable, already driven scions, uneven surfaces, insufficiently solid fixation with finishing tape, faulty passage with wound wax, problematic combinations.
Let but undaunted! You can correct the failures next year! And never forget: “Practice makes perfect!” – and that applies also here 100%!
Let’s not be discouraged! The end result is worth.
