How many of you have heard of Airbnb? This is something like a social network, where it offers accommodation all over the world. It exists since 2008 and is based in San Francisco. Today, more than 35,000 cities across 190 countries in this project are included. The idea is to rent rooms for some nights. This is very popular in the last few years. But today we want to present you another design. How about it, to stay in the KLM plane? Airbnb impresses us with unexpected and exceptional accommodations in an airplane.

At that time the KLM airline dealt with accommodation in French, historic castles and currently offers three nights (for 2-4 persons) in the KLM aircraft. It is not just about a night in the aircraft, it McDonnell Douglas MD-11.

In the autumn of 2014 flew this machine for the last time after an 80-year old cooperation between KLM and McDonnell Douglas. Thanks to the Design Studio in Amsterdam resident – it has transformed MD-11 in an intimate Guest Hotel TANK, where you can feel at home.
