Living with home textiles
The first home exhibition of the year is always the international fair Heimtextil Frankfurt. It took place this year from the 10th to the 13th of January and almost 3,000 exhibitors from 67 countries participated. Most of the participants came from China, India, Pakistan and Turkey. A numerous audience was there, too, and many lovers of design and Setup had the opportunity to admire the latest trends in textiles. Because this year the trade fair slogan is quite exciting: exploration!
A tribute to the eternal spirit of mankind, leading to new inventions and discoveries and is an endless source of creative inspiration.
In the theme park in Hall 6.0, the visitors had the first insights into the latest trends in the housing and set up. Since many of the participating manufacturers have issued cosy, welcoming interior compositions, which should act as a trendy appetizers. Here realized it, which are the four main themes at the fair: virtuality. Nature. Planet. Culture.

Innovation, sustainability, comfort and relaxation are the leading objectives that serve as a source of motivation for the international textile designer – research and exploration in all walks of life and reflection on your own understanding of yourself and your own body.
Heimtextil Frankfurt 2017 became more and more noticeable as fantasy and virtuality can be reality.
Using the latest digital technologies, substances and materials have been enriched and further developed. Light reflections, holographic effects, vibrating shades are already no more visions, but a permanent part of the latest fabric collections worldwide. Young textile designer show high class and ingenuity, such as for example the Swedish Malin Bobeck with their imaginative installations of water worlds and universe-impressions – simply fabulous!
A new trend on Heimtextil Frankfurt 2017: LED lamps in textiles. Tiny lights are incorporated in the wallpaper and any any motif or pattern appears easy push of a button on the wall.
Exciting design experiences in the theme park of Heimtextil Frankfurt 2017
Celebrity course at the international fair also not missed. Fashion designer Michael Michalsky has presented his latest rather discreet textile collection. Where eccentric Harald Glööckler, however, has presented his offbeat, high pitched wallpaper ideas with glamourous patterns and rhinestones.
Model and designer Eva Padberg was rather reserved with their own label- and comfortable, with soft fabrics, muted colours and a playful boho swing.
Audience and design fanatics are fascinated
