Different to real Moravian stars , which are patented and sold in a craft kit, you can tinker not only a beautiful Fröbelstern relatively quickly and absolutely cheap, but many at once. The three-dimensional frog stars consist of only four strips of paper and nothing more. The strips are usually cut in a width-to-length ratio of 1:30 and can be cleverly folded together.

The world famous Faltstern was named after the German pedagogue Friedrich Fröbel. He is considered the founder of the kindergarten movement and has developed the craft star from simple geometric shapes to promote the fine motor skills of the children – the so-called Fröbelgrundformen. The classic Fröbelstern has 16 star-shaped spikes and is ideal for Christmas not only on the Christmas tree, but also as a table, window or wall decoration. From this you can easily create beautiful mobile for the nursery or why not for the bedroom. Depending on your own taste and personal preferences, different paper types, colors and patterns are suitable for your DIY Fröbelsterne.

In addition to the popular classic, there are of course great new variations of the frog stars. You can find some of them, for example here ,

All you need for Fröbelstern crafts is:

  • Wrapping paper
  • a craft scissors

And so the strips are folded in the middle and put into each other. Slowly through a specific folding mode you work your way to the finished Froebelstar (very nice shown in the video below).
