Depending on the location and time availability, you can opt for the most appropriate preparation. Here we have chosen a relatively simple and quick recipe for you, which is also completely vegan.
for a large cup of golden milk (about 350 ml)
- 350 ml almond milk (or soya, rice, coconut milk)
- 1 tablespoon turmeric (freshly grated or powder)
- 120 ml of water
- a 2-3 cm piece of fresh ginger
- a big pinch of cinnamon
- a big pinch of fresh nutmeg or coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon virgin coconut oil
- a little black pepper
- Agave syrup or maple syrup to taste
Prefer organic ingredients at its best!

According to this principle, it is also easy to make almond milk. The only difference is that you should let the almonds soak in the water overnight and the resulting almond milk should be thoroughly sifted with a fine kitchen towel and sieve after mixing.

First prepare the golden spice paste. Peel the ginger and finely chop it. In a small pot, add the turmeric with the water and simmer on low heat with the ginger for about 5 minutes. Stir constantly. Add the freshly grated nutmeg. The paste is ready when it gets pretty thick and fragrant. These can be used up completely or stored in a small bowl in the fridge for about 3-4 days.
You can use this spice paste as an ingredient for many exotic dishes
Depending on your taste, you can then use one teaspoon or less per cup of milk. Some people like it spicier and others do not. So, put the almond milk in a pot and heat. Add the desired amount of spice paste and stir well with the whisk. Add the cinnamon and coconut oil together with the agave syrup and simmer for another 1-2 minutes. Then refine with the black pepper and… done!
